1.    Apply for and pass your theory test. go to our links page for an application
2.    Get an eyesight report from your GP or Optician
3     Get an application form for a Learners Permit from a Garda Station or local Tax office.
4.    Get two passport sized photographs which need to be signed on the back.

Fill in and send the form, Eyesight Report, Theory Test Pass Cert. and signed photos to your local Motor Tax office, along with the appropriate fee

You will receive your learners permit within 10 days.

Once you have your learners permit you are now ready to book your lessons with Rathfarnham School of Motoring

Applying for a test

You must have your first Learner Permit for six months or longer on the day you are tested
You can apply online, go to our links page for an application
If you are using your own car, it must be taxed and you must be insured to drive it.
